Day of Rest

There are some heavy things I want to share soon, but today, I just want to rest!  Ever feel like that?  You know there are important things to tackle, but you just KNOW a little space between you and that topic will be for everyone’s benefit?  Not really procrastination.  Just enjoying the moment.  The day.  Tomorrow’s plans.

So, I would like to know the things you like to do when you are not hitting the big things.  What are the things YOU like to do when you kick back and relax?

Here are my 3 things:

1) Sunshine is back.  I am a sunshine girl.

2) The carrot soup is gone.  I finished the last little dribbles for supper.  It was so good, that I think of how yummy it was with a grin.  Wonder what I will make for tomorrow?  The menu isn’t done yet.

3) I am going to read some more.  I love the book I am reading, even if the font is so so so small that I MUST wear my magnifiers.  Underpants first – take care of your eyes.

Mittens last – Say goodnight.  :-)

  1. I finished up my carrot soup last night, it was really delicious. I just read a “Green Pea Soup” recipe that is basically the same although they use 2 cans of peas. I’d rather do fresh whenever possible. In fact I love to eat frozen peas, pop them in my mouth like a nut. Now that I’m not working outside the house, I’ve had a chance to do more walking and riding my bike which is great . It’s been a week so I’ve got to get a little more agressive about finding a part time job though.

    My 3 things:
    1) Enjoyed 2 hours of Elvis (an Elvis impersonator) on the Boardwalk Sat night. The best part is that it’s only 2 blocks from where I’m living.
    2) Walks along the beach.
    3) Picked up 4 books from the local Flea Market that I’m looking forward to reading.
